NoNormal Outdoor Coffee Kit — Swiss-made coffee paste tubes (Classic Black + Sweet Black) with titanium cup

Story

No Normal GmbH was founded in Zurich by Alexander Häberlin (industrial / product designer) and Philippe Greinacher (after a decade in Africa building digital-media and education startups). Their question: why does outdoor coffee still mean either bad instant or a 600 g espresso machine in your backpack?

Their answer: a super-concentrated coffee paste in a 65 g aluminium tube. Mix one stripe with cold or hot water and you get a full-body brew — no grinder, no filter, no electricity. Manufactured by HACO Swiss (the Swiss private-label food maker who has supplied Migros and Coop for over a century), the coffee is Fairtrade-certified Colombian arabica.

Commercial launch was 2024. The Outdoor Coffee Kit pairs the tubes with a 380 mL titanium cup and tube-opener key — a self-contained adventure system that fits in a jacket pocket.

Why India now

Indian adventure-tourism has scaled extraordinarily: Himalaya trekking (Ladakh, Spiti, Sikkim, Uttarakhand) now drives USD 2bn+ in annual outbound trip spend, Western Ghats trekking is a year-round market, and adventure-travel platforms like Thrillophilia, India Hikes, Bikat Adventures serve a fast-growing premium-segment willing to pay for Swiss-quality kit.

Parallel: India's coffee-consumer transition. The third-wave coffee movement (Blue Tokai, Subko, Third Wave Coffee Roasters) has built educated demand for craft coffee, but the outdoor-occasion remains under-served. NoNormal fits that gap precisely — Swiss-Made label, premium Colombian arabica, ultra-portable.

TEPA tariff & FSSAI

NoNormal is a packaged food product under FSSAI category 5.1.3 (chocolate & coffee derivatives) — FSSAI registration handled by Pullely as part of the 90-day playbook. TEPA reduces the applicable Indian customs tariff on Swiss-Origin coffee derivatives significantly. Certificate of Origin and pre-shipment documentation included.
