Hüppen Tradition
Three classic fillings: Praline, Mocca, Gianduja.
Handmade Swiss rolled-wafer specialities, Tartufi, and gift collections from the shores of Lake Constance — now ready for India under TEPA.
Founded in 1928 by Elisabeth Wegeli in Gottlieben am Bodensee — a small Thurgau village with a 13th-century lakeside castle and centuries of European cultural exchange. Nearly a century later, every Hüppe is still rolled by hand — the paper-thin crêpe (under 0.7mm) wrapped "like a Havana cigar" around fillings of praline, mocca, gianduja, and seasonal flavours.
A region steeped in European history: just 7 km from Gottlieben lies Schloss Arenenberg, the Bodensee residence where Hortense de Beauharnais — Napoleon Bonaparte's stepdaughter and mother of the future Emperor Napoleon III — lived in exile and raised her son. Today the castle houses the Napoleon Museum of the Canton of Thurgau. The same Bodensee shores that hosted the Bonaparte family in the 1820s still hand-roll the Hüppen that travel out from Gottlieben today.
Hot-climate logistics: The wafer encloses the filling, making Hüppen shelf-stable at retail temperature — a structural advantage over Lindt, Laederach, or ROYCE' in Indian premium retail.
Pre-screened against FSSAI 5.1.3 and Indian alcohol-in-confectionery rules. Pricing on request — final landed cost depends on incoterm, MOQ, and channel.
